Salvation has a Price!

Most of us express the truth that salvation is free.

And forgetting that though it is a gift that cannot be purchased, but it did and does cost much.

Paul clearly expressed the fact that eternal salvation is the “gift of God”

(Rom. 6:23) - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

He even specified that it is a “free” gift.
(Rom. 5:15-18) - But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Further, he expressed to the Ephesians that it was by grace that they were saved through faith: “and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast”
Eph. 2:8-9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9not of works, lest any man should boast.

Peter told Simon that the gift of God cannot be purchased with money.
Acts 8:20 - But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

When one has done all that God has commanded, he has still not “earned” that which God promised him.

When Naaman, the leper(कोढ़ी ) dipped in the Jordan River seven times as instructed by the prophet Elisha, he had not earned cleansing of his leprosy, but it was still given to him by God.

II Kings 5:10-14 - And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. 11But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. 12Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. 13And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? 14Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

We need to first recognize that the salvation of man was

indeed extremely expensive!

Not in the form of silver, gold or money of any kind, but expensive nevertheless.

We are not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, but by the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

1 Peter 1:18-19 - 8whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Romans 3:23 teaches, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We're all born into sin.

Evil isn't what we do; it's who we are.

Romans 3:10 confirms - "There is no one righteous, not even one."

The cost of faith is so high, none of us could pay it, not with a lifetime of good works. But there's good news.

Romans 5:8 declares - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Even John 3:16 echoes, "For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."

The true cost of salvation is found in the BLOOD of Christ.

Although He never sinned, Jesus took our punishment on Himself.

He was tortured and crucified in our place.

This means we can't come to God through any of our own works.

We can not do anything to earn God's love or His favor.

What it costs was covered by Christ.

Your salvation has been made available by the complete work of Christ applied to your life.

Our life becomes His because when we come to Him by faith, we give Him our life.

Anything less is a cheap imitation.

Romans 10:9 proclaims - that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

"If we confess with our mouth Jesus is the Lord' and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved." Amen!

If we choose to believe Jesus died for your sins and to receive new life through Him.

Pray a prayer similar to this one: Dear God, I know I'm a sinner. I believe Jesus died to forgive me of my sins. I now accept Your offer of eternal life. Thank You for forgiving me. From this day forward, I will choose to follow You. Amen!

Friends, it is a fact that salvation is free, but it is also a fact that salvation is not cheap!

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit have all paid the price from the heavenly standpoint.

Yet, it is up to each one of us to determine if we are willing to pay their part of the price.

So, today I am leaving you all with this question that are you willing to pay the Price of Salvation? Or still believing in 1st Copy or 2nd copy of salvation which very much readily available.

May God Bless You.
